Fox is bringing back its 1990s sketch-comedy series “In Living Color.”
Keenen Ivory Wayans will return as host and executive producer for a pair of half-hour specials in the spring. 20th Century Fox TV, which produced the original version, will do same under its Fox 21 banner, where cable series including Showtime’s “Homeland” are produced.
Fox has the opportunity to order “Color” to series for the following season if it sees future potential in its ratings performance.
“Color” was a bona fide hit for Fox early in the network’s life, giving rise to a generation of minority talent including Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier and Jennifer Lopez.
